The Baumalight MS1472 Brush Mulcher is the largest and most powerful mulcher in the MS series, featuring a wide 84″ path and a 72″ unique rotor design that puts the best of our 900 and 1100 series into one mulcher. Built for skid steers with a minimum carrier weight of 7,500 lbs, the MS1472 is designed to take on the tougher mulching jobs with efficiency and potentially more tooth durability.
The rotor features both P11000 and R9000 teeth. A total of 14 P11000 planer-style teeth are installed in the center section of the rotor, with 7 positioned on each side of the center. These deliver highly efficient cutting in the middle where operators typically take down trees and where it’s easier to watch for stones while mulching on the ground. The remaining 24 R9000 ripper teeth handle tougher material and impacts with rocks toward the sides, where stones are harder to spot. This 1400 series dual-tooth design is the first of its kind (as far as we know), combining efficient cutting and ground-contact durability for maximum performance.
The MS1472 comes with a heavy-duty frame, replaceable wear AR400 alloy liners, and bolt-in liner teeth and maximum cutting depth of 2″ below grade Like other Baumalight skid steer mulchers, the MS1472 uses a chain curtain to control debris and protect the operator, machine, and surroundings during work.
The MS1472 is only with available with our 2-speed motor making it ideal for contractors and operators who need fast, productive clearing on large-scale jobs.

If you want front-mount visibility and easy operation but your tractor lacks hydraulic flow, the P40 PTO Power Pack is a smart solution. Delivering up to 40 GPM at 4000 PSI, the P40 provides high-flow hydraulic power through your PTO. It features a built-in cooling radiator, a 160L (40-gallon) oil capacity to keep attachments running cool, and weighs 1700 lbs (with oil) for added front-end ballast. A case drain connection is also included, allowing compatibility with even more attachments. Click here
Save time by easily replacing the AR400 steel wear plates on the MS1472 without needing to remove the rotor.

Engineered to keep material flowing with minimal jamming, liner teeth produce a finer, more consistent mulch. This reduces the number of passes required, improving processing efficiency and boosting overall production.
The 1400 series rotor is equipped with both P11000 and R9000 teeth. A total of 14 P11000 teeth are installed in the center section of the rotor, positioned 7 on each side from the center, while the remaining 24 teeth across the rotor are R9000 teeth. and placed to the side where stones are harder to watch out for and where in general, there is smaller brush to mulch.
The Planer-style P11000 teeth in the middle are placed where an operator normally uses to take down bigger material, the sharpenable teeth deliver efficient mulching and aggressive cutting while sharp. In contrast, the Ripper-style R9000 teeth provide a shredding mulching action that works very well on smaller material. Their double-tipped V-shaped design makes them more resistant to impacts with hard objects such as stones, making them ideal for mulching below grade and along fence lines.

The Depth Control system on the Baumalight 1400 series mulchers will improve the efficiency of your land-clearing operations. The 1400 series mulcher rotors are engineered to regulate the depth of bite and guide the flow of material while preserving energy for optimal output with less stalling because you can achieve consistent particle size for faster cutting, and better fuel efficiency. We have provided the depth control system for 24" in the middle of the rotor, positioned 12" apart from the center, to ensure balanced and efficient performance. The helical teeth arrangement of our mulcher effectively feeds material toward the center of the drum, while depth control rings guarantee the best possible infeed

When push comes to shove, the integrated push bar helps control

Built into the pusher bar, the directional felling hook will directionally control wayward trees, sprawling clumps and low hanging limbs.

Adjustable skid shoes allow the operator to adjust the cutting height for optimal clearing performance.
The MS1472’s frame is angled so that you can roll back the Brushy Mulcher, pulling back the pusher bar so that you can fully engage the mulching head. This allows the operator to use the mulching head to fell standing trees.

Take full advantage of the forward curl and roll back of the MS1472 without risking expensive damage to the hoses. Unique to the Baumalight Brush Mulcher, the spring loaded hose support prevents the hoses from falling into harm’s way during forward curl.

The new curved host bracket provides better support of the hose while reducing the risk of pinching or chafing.

Baumalight hoses are sleeved and wrapped offering protection for the operator and hoses. A pivoting arm is also standard with a greasable pin keeping the slack out of the way which protects the hoses from dangerous pinching and strain.

To accomodate for different skidsteers that have the couplers on different sides, the MS1472's hose support is positioned close to the centre of the mulching head and has an adjustable hose.

The adjustable belt tensioner ensures the proper tension of your belts, with no extra idler wheel that could wear out. Simply loosen the bolts and raise the motor mount to tighten the belt.

The MS1472 is only available with a variable 2-speed motor option, this maximizes the rotor speed and torque to account for changing mulching material.
Large PSI pressure guage for maintaining the optimal flow that gives you a clear indication of the most efficient brush mulching performance.

To prevent pressure relief activation on the motor seal, the MS1472 comes with a case drain line and a vent to atmosphere relief valve. In the event there is a spike in pressure in your hydraulic lines, the case drain will relieve the pressure and drain it back into the return line and back to the tank. If the connection of the case drain (third line) is missed or if the line is blocked, then the case drain will vent to notify you. A properly installed case drain protected by a vent to atmosphere relief valve will save the work of replacing your shaft seal and save you from down time of unexpected maintenance. To learn more CLICK HERE about the case drain line.
If you are mulching and you catch some old fence wire, it can really cause damage to the unit if the wire slips over the edge of the rotor and gets wrapped around the shaft. The wire can get bunched against the bearings, causing major damage. Our wire protection kit contains a welded raised area on the end of the rotor that protects the shaft and prevents wire from getting in.

The rear of the unit is guarded by a 3/8” thick chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits.

Now completely redesigned for the 900 series Brush Mulcher, the heavy duty steel frame is constructed with T1 alloy tool steel.

Also redesigned for the 900 Series Brush Mulcher, the skidsteer plate is constructed with heavy duty steel with lots of gusseting and reinforcements.

Our powder coat finish is much tougher than conventional paint to stand up to the rigors of mulching and helps prevent rusting.

The powder coated frame has multiple anti-slip pads and laser cut steps, giving the operator a secure footing for easy entry and exit from the cab.

All MS1472 Brush Mulchers come with a free set of 6 replacement teeth. These replacement teeth can be convenienty stored in the enclosed spare tool compartment.
Each 1100 series mulcher ships with a sharpening gauge so you can check and make sure the angle stays correct from time to time

The improved design of the MS1472 mulcher head now allows the operator better visibility to the area you are mulching.

To improve the weight management of the Brush Mulcher, the MS1472 is now designed with the rotor closer to the carrier. This unique design feature allows for smaller carriers to be able to manage a larger mulcher.

Reduce your regular maintenance time by easily greasing the bearings on the MS1472 from outside the frame. No tools required.
