iMX748R Fixed Tooth Mulcher for Excavator, 20-30 Ton

Same as the iMX748 the iMX748R brush mulcher will efficiently mulch heavy brush and trees and is designed for contractors, rental and any other heavy duty mulching and land clearing. The difference is aggressive root rake teeth build into the frame to rip out rocks and move logs and has a heavier duty body build with AR400 steel that is the same weight but much stronger than mild steel. Also the 700 Series teeth are available in either Ripper or Planer style. The carbide Ripper tooth is the perfect general use tooth, their v-shaped design shreds through brush unforgivingly and makes them less vulnerable in areas plagued by rocks and debris. The 700 Series Planer style tooth provides the most efficient cutting by smoothly chipping away at the brush. It’s flat profile however makes it vulnerable to shattering on impact with rocks and other debris. See our brush cutting size chart to see how much this excavator mounted forestry mulcher can tear up according to your hydraulic flow. With the build in control and precision of the excavator, mulching around objects is not a problem, whether it’s in a ditch or overhead.

INTEGRATED SKID SHOES

These durable skid shoes help the Brush Fire to better float over the ground for optimal mulching action.

OPTION TO CHANGE OUT FOR 700 SERIES PLANER TEETH

Baumalight gives you the option to change out the ripper teeth for the planer style for a sharper bite with a smoother cut, but these teeth are more vulnerable to damage from rocks. Ripper teeth handle rocks much better, so Planer teeth are only recommended for cutting applications where efficiency is more important than tooth life.

700 Series planer teeth

700 Series Teeth

Unique to the 700 Series teeth is the Cup and Cone mount, which is machined into the holder and forged into the teeth. Engineered to take all the strain off the mounting bolt and eliminating shearing forces, these carbide teeth are bolted in place.

Hardened Teeth Holders

Designed to handle the punishment, these heavy-duty teeth holders resist bending and keep you on the path of destruction longer.

Spiral Tooth Pattern

For smoother mulching, the spiral tool pattern allows one tooth to engage at a time.

Ripper Teeth

The BrushFire iMX548R and iMX748R models are equipped with ripper teeth for efficient removal of rocks, stumps and scrub.

Overtorque Protection - Relief Valve

The relief valve protects the motor and the hydraulic system from pressure spikes. When an obstacle is hit the relief valves open and relieves the pressure.

REINFORCED BELT

A heavy duty reinforced belt delivers the force from the gear box to the rotor. Not only does this belt refuse to back down in the face of dense brush, it also offers protection from the shocks inherent in mulching.

Wire Protection Kit

Protective steel cover that prevents damage from wire fencing.

Chain Curtain

The rear of the unit is guarded by a chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits.

Powdered Coated

Our powder coat finish is much tougher than conventional paint to stand up to the rigors of mulching and helps prevent rusting.
